👨🔧 Logan Smallmon
Logan Smallmon is more than just the owner, he's a hands-on operator with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for keeping Queensland's rigs, trailers, and caravans safe and compliant. With years of experience in the transport, mechanical and earthmoving industries, Logan brings a no-BS attitude and a high standard of workmanship to every job.
Logan qualified from his apprenticeship in the automotive industry in 2012 also obtaining qualifications in Cert 3 in Light Vehicle Automotive Mechanical and Cert 2 in Automotive Air Conditioning from AAG In Toowoomba.
In 2012 Logan changed his course to a family owned Landscaping and Water Cartage (LWC) working with his parents, LWC is a trucking and earthmoving company based in Toowoomba and gained his HR License and a few machinery tickets. Whilst operating in the trucks and machinery Logan also carrying out repairs, maintenance and modification to trucks and machinery within the company building a large knowledge basis on a lot of different machines, trucks and cars.
In 2017 Logan re-diversified his skill sets and focused on the medium to heavy duty earthmoving industry and was upgraded to Earthmoving and Workshop Manager within LWC. At that point he upgraded his license to MC Opens and pushed forward into the residential housing industry doing house and shed pads for the local Toowoomba builders and normally completing approximately 100+ house pads per year and now has obtained most machinery tickets with the experience to back it.
While Logan has been on the forefront of the LWC business and still is, he enjoys building strong customer relationships and always pushing the limits in the workshop in the design and manufacturing side, which includes inspecting vehicles for pre sales inspections, modifications to used trucks and cars and also carrying out repairs and maintenance of the operational fleet.
Logan has had a lot of experience in modifying trucks and trailers to suit the needs of the customer, including chassis modifications including extensions and shortening, body fitments, rear lighting systems, adding additional axles, painting of trucks and equipment and carrying out repairs of electrical systems and air conditioning systems on all types of vehicles.
Logan still works with LWC on weekdays and does LTSC Roadworthy's and Mod's after hours and on weekends.
Logan has obtained his Queensland Government endorsement as an Approved Person under the Approved Persons Scheme which allows him to inspect and approve vehicle modifications on both Light and Heavy Vehicles in 2025 and in the same year applied to be approved as an AIS and Approved Examiner.
